OSCAR DE LA HOYA vs. MIGUEL ANGEL GONZALEZ (PPV) 

Description : Here we have an original Top Rank Boxing closed circuit poster in association with Caesars Palace Las Vegas the official fight sponsors for the Oscar De La Hoya WBC Light/Welterweight title defence that took place at the Thomas & Mack Centre in Las Vegas.

Miguel Angel Gonzalez was the former WBC Lightweight champion moving up in weight in his challenge for De La Hoya's WBC Light/welter title. It did not work out to good for the challenger, who put in a brave effort but was beaten convincingly albeit every round was competitive. The game plan for Gonzalez, it turned out, was to jab him silly, and De La Hoya worked it to perfection. From the opening bell on, he hit Gonzalez with a punishing left jab that snapped his head back each time. De La Hoya was nearly a one-handed fighter all night, rarely using his right as he hit Gonzalez with jabs and left hooks to win by comfortable margins on all three ringside scorecards. Gonzalez was given three of the 12 rounds by each judge.
