DONALD CURRY vs. LLOYD HONEYGHAN (Caesars Tahoe) 

Description : Here we have an original closed circuit poster from Caesars Casino resort, Lake Tahoe Nevada. This has to be the greatest victory overseas by any British boxer, an absolute incredible performance by Lloyd Honeyghan. At the time Don Curry was considered one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world and Honeyghan was given little chance by the majority of the media. He caused a major upset by dominating the fight, nearly dropping Curry in the second round, before a battered, bruised & shell shocked Curry retired on his stool at the end of the six round. Before the fight Curry had himself dismissed his unknown foreign opponent, asking "Who is this ragamuffin?". Honeyghan thereafter adopted the title "ragamuffin" or "Ragamuffin Man" with relish. This is the only poster we have ever seen from this fight! I don't know if an onsite was produced, such was the opinion that this fight was just a time killer for Curry, well what a shock he & his team got when Lloyd started to dismantle the invincible Curry!
