Description : Here we have a vintage onsite poster from the old Wembley Arena for the WBC Welterweight world championship rematch. He lost his title to Jorge Vaca in 1987 when a clash of heads meant that the fight had to be stopped due to a cut sustained by Vaca. The scorecards at the time of the stoppage favored Jorge Vaca | judge: Chuck Hassett 65-67 | judge: Malcolm Bulner 67-65 | judge: Bob Logist 66-67 giving Vaca a victory by technical decision in the 8th round.

Lloyd Honeyghan became only the second British boxer in history to regain a world title when he easily knocked Vaca out in a return fight in the 3rd round, the first being Ted "Kid" Lewis earlier in the 20th century.
