Description : Here we have an original onsite poster from the MGM Grand Las Vegas for the WBA World Welterweight Title.

I had the great pleasure to see Antonio Margarito live at the MGM GRAND Las Vegas in July 2008 when he systematically hammered defending champ & superstar Miguel Cotto, beating him into submission in the 11th round. The atmosphere was unreal, Cotto the massive odds on favorite took control of the early rounds with deft foot movement & sharp countering but Margarito was remorseless in hunting down Cotto, eventually enough body punches had the desired effect on Cotto who was now fighting from a static position. This was disastrous for Cotto as he was beaten into the ropes time & again with Margarito swarming all over him & eventually the dam burst & Cotto took a knee, he tried valiantly to compete but by now was a well & truly broken man, after another brutal assault on the ropes, Cotto back tracked across the ring into a corner & submitted to his tormentor by taking another knee & as the referee counted to 10, Cotto's corner threw in the towel to save Cotto from any further punishment & the arena erupted in joyous celebration as the pro Mexican crowd roared there delight. This is definitely one of my best nights ever in Las Vegas, a real pleasure & joy to be part of a great night of world championship boxing.......
