Description : Here we have a super rare full-size official HBO Boxing closed circuit fight poster for the George Foreman/Lou Savarese heavyweight battle held at the Atlantic City Convention Centre, Atlantic City, USA.

Needing an impressive showing to continue his eternal comeback, George Foreman entered the 12th round of his World Boxing Union heavyweight fight at the Atlantic City Convention Center tonight against Lou Savarese swinging for the fences. He wanted the knockout. But Savarese, who had withstood all of Foreman's heavy artillery through 11 rounds, would not oblige.

So, when it was over, Savarese's face looked like he had stepped into a roomful of flying knives -- with a cut under his right eye, a cut in his left eyelid and cuts along the bridge of his nose -- and Foreman won a split decision. Judge Al DeVito (114-113) scored the fight for Savarese and judges Barbara Perez (115-112) and Shafeeq Rashada (118-110) scored it for Foreman.

Foreman (76-4) did not have an argument with the split decision, but seemed to marvel at Savarese's ability to withstand his heavy shots. ''It was a decision for me; that's really all I care about,'' Foreman said. ''I didn't understand how he stayed up with the shots I was giving him. I don't know where he got the strength. In the second half of the fight, I was throwing more punches with a lot of power. He hurt me one time with an overhand right. Tonight I had to box. I don't like to box with these guys. I like the knockout.''
