ERIC MORALES vs. CARLOS HERNANDEZ (HBO)

Description : Here we have an original full size HBO boxing pay-per-view poster for the WBC & IBF Super/ featherweight world title unification showdown, held at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, on 31st July, 2004.

Erik Morales produced a masterful performance to beat Carlos Hernandez in Las Vegas and unify the super-featherweight titles. 'El Terrible', a modern great and three-weight world champion, showed his full repetoire of skills as he brawled and then boxed his way to a unanimous points victory. Hernandez was always dangerous, making each round competitive, always coming forward at every opportunity and mixing it up with his Mexican rival. However Morales was always the boss, and had a big crowd at the MGM Grand's Garden Arena on its feet several times as he showed just why he was regarded as one of the premier 'pound 4 pound' fighters in the sport. Hernandez gave his all in the bout in a desperate effort to keep hold of his IBF crown whilst annexing the WBC version. He certainly went out on his shield in the process, and few in attendance will forget the way the two warriors embraced as the bell sounded at the start of the 12th. Scores were 119-109 (twice) and 115-113, all in favour of Morales.

These HBO & Showtime PPV posters are not made available for public consumption & can only be sourced from a participating PPV outlet hence the scarcity as once the televised event if over, then these posters go straight to skip.
