Reigning & defending champion Golovkin destroyed yet another challenger for his world middleweight crown when he KO'd Dominic Wade at 2.37 of the second round, GGG retained WBA, IBF, IBO and interim WBC World Middleweight titles with his 22nd consecutive knockout. GGG knocked down Wade with an overhand right near the end of round in round one, then he put his challenger down on all fours with two right hands in round two. Wade beat the count, whereby another right hand to the head soon thereafter sent the challenger Wade to the canvas on all fours again, where he was counted out.
