Description : Here we have an original 'Top Rank' official closed circuit main event boxing poster from the 1st encounter between these two Mexican legends at the Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas, USA, on 13th March 1993.

This was the long awaited unification bout between the worlds two premier light-flyweights, with Carbajal holding the IBF strap & Gonzalez the reigning WBC boss. This would turn into one of the best & most violent trilogies ever, in this first encounter Carbajal came out on top, but only after some real scares as he was dropped twice in rounds 2 & 5 before recovering to KO Gonzalez at 2.59 of the 7th round whilst trailing on 58-54 on all 3 judges scorecards. This battle was named RING magazine 'Fight of the Year'
