Description : Here we have an original super-scarce official onsite main event boxing fight poster for the IBF world super-middleweight championship title bout held at the Civic Center, Pensacola, Florida, USA, 30th September 1995.
Making his 3rd defence of his IBF Super-Middleweight crown, reigning & defending champion Roy Jones Jr stopped the IBF ranked number 1 contender Tony Thornton at the 45 second mark of the 3rd round. Jones had dropped the challenger with a left hook just before the bell ending round 2, the punishment continued in the round 3 when Jones backed Thornton to the ropes and unleashed a barrage of punches. Thornton failed to punch back, and the referee stopped the fight.
