Description : Here we have an original vintage onsite poster for the undisputed world heavyweight championship title bout held at the Trump Plaza Convention Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey USA. 16th October 1987.
This poster is the rare 1st edition BLUE poster that had Pinklon Thomas vs Henry Tillman on the undercard. This fight was pulled by Don King & a new poster was hastily issued (BLACK) showing just Mathew Hilton & Jack Callahan. This poster was only available for Trump Plaza High/Roller Invitees as it's produced on quality stockcard & not the cheap paper that was available for public consumption.
The challenger Tyrell Biggs said he was not concerned about Tyson's reputation, my skills will offset his power. Well Tyson did plenty! He smashed Biggs to a pulp, Tyson was to say after the fight "I could have knocked him out in the 3rd round but I wanted to do it slowly, so he would remember this night for a long time." Referee Tony Orlando stopped the brutal hammering at 2.59 of round 7 so awarding Tyson the victory via technical knockout & a frightening brutal one at that for poor Tyrell Biggs who was never the same fighter again after that savage hammering at the hands of Tyson.
