Former undisputed welterweight champion Lloyd Honeyghan attempted to turn back the clock & regain one of his old title's but was comprehensively trounced by the American star who now possessed the WBA welterweight belt. Honeyghan was knocked down six times. Breland floored him once in the first round, twice in the second and three times in the third before the hammering was halted in round 3.
