Description : Here we have an original official onsite boxing fight poster for the WBA world welterweight championship title bout. National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, England/UK, 19th January 1985.

This was Colin Jones 3rd attempt at getting his hands onto the world welterweight crown. But he was up against a formidable champion in Don "The Cobra" Curry who held the WBA version of the title. Jones was stopped in 4 rounds on cuts, Don Curry's slashing counter punching opened a split right down to the bone on the bridge of the nose of Colin Jones & that was the end of the brave Welshman's challenge & career.
