Description : Here we have an original 'Matchroom Boxing' promotional poster for the IBF & WBA world super middleweight championship title bout held at the Phones 4u Arena (formerly M.E.N Arena), Manchester, England 23rd November 2013.

One of the most controversial fights of 2013. In the fight, Froch stopped Groves in the ninth round amidst controversial circumstances. This was a fight the 'Cobra' was expected to dominate, but Groves was ahead on all three judges' scorecards, having dropped the champion in the first round with a hard counter right hand. Many observers at ringside, including fellow boxers David Haye and Amir Khan, remarked that referee Howard Foster had stepped in too quickly during an exchange in which both fighters landed heavy punches in the 9th round. Given the controversial nature of the stoppage, there were immediate calls for a rematch.
