Steve Collins the now reigning WBO world super-middleweight champion agreed to a re-match with former WBO champion Chris Eubank who Collins had just dethroned 6 months prior for Eubanks WBO world super-middleweight crown & also taken Eubanks unbeaten record. In another close fight, It again went too the judges scorecards after 12 rounds, two of the judges scored it in favour of the defending champion while the 3rd judge scored the bout in favour of the challenger thus rendering a split decision by scores of 115-113 / 115/113 / 113/114 in favour of the champion & still WBO super-middleweight king Steve Collins.
