Description : Here we have an original onsite promotional boxing poster for the WBO world super middleweight championship title bout held at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena, West Midlands, England on 1st February 1992.
This was the 1st defence of reigning & defending champion Chris Eubanks newly won WBO world super-middleweight crown which he won on that fateful night at White Hart Lane the previous September when he defeated Michael Watson for the vacant crown.
This defence was a close call for the defending champion despite dropping his challenger in the 5th round as he retained his crown by the skin of his teeth by a split decision. Judges scoring, Harry Davis 112-115 for Malinga and judges Mike Glienna 116-112 .. Andre Van Grootenbruel 115-113 for the defending champion.
