Like the first fight, both came in with all guns blazing, they continued to go toe to toe, then Alvarado changed strategy and became a lot more evasive and hard to hit with deft footwork & started to ship less damage from the Slugster Rios, and started to get the edge in the later fiercely contested rounds. Alvarado defeated Rios by via unanimous decision with scores of 115-113, 115-113 and 114-113. It could have gone either way IMO, another wild shoot out of an affair.
