Naseem Hamed marked his return from a 13-month sabbatical with a win at London Arena, but not the kind he would have wanted. Hamed, back for the first time since his comprehensive defeat to Marco Antonio Barrera in Las Vegas, looked sluggish and occasionally even disinterested. Hamed had insisted before the fight he had learnt the lessons of his defeat to Barrera. Although the Mexican might have taken his title, he said, he had not taken his heart. But Hamed predictably picked up the lightly-regarded IBO title with landslide 120-110 and 119-109 (twice) verdicts.
