Description : Here we have a vintage official onsite poster for the heavyweight bout from Caesars Tahoe, Outdoor Arena, Stateline, Nevada, USA. 16th July 1988.
After Holyfield had unified all the belts at Cruiserweight & cleaned out the division, the decision was taken to step up to heavyweight to pursue the World Heavyweight Championship held by Mike Tyson. His first fight as a Heavyweight took place on July 16, when he took on former Mike Tyson victim in James "Quick" Tillis and impressed with a fifth round knockout. Tillis had gone the distance with Tyson, so this proved a good yardstick & confidence booster that Holyfield could mix it with the big boys.
