Description : Here we have an original full-size HBO boxing pay-per-view fight poster for the WBC World super welterweight championship title bout held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, 5th May 2007.

Floyd Mayweather Jr won the fight by a split decision over 12 rounds, capturing De La Hoya's WBC world super-welterweight crown. During the early rounds De La Hoya had some success cutting off the ring, attempting to pound Mayweather on the inside, however, many of De La Hoya's punches landed on Mayweather's arms or shoulders. By the middle of the fight, it was seen as an even bout. But for some reason Oscar took his foot off the gas, neglected his successful jab & allowed Mayweather to turn the turn tide in the last 4 rounds, allowing Mayweather to sneak out the split decision. Official scorecards read 116-112 (Mayweather), 115-113 (Mayweather) and 115-113 (De La Hoya).
