Description : Here we have a vintage onsite poster from Reno Nevada for the much anticipated comeback of the former WBA lightweight champion Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini who was up against granite hard Greg " Mutt" Haugen the former IBF Lightweight title holder.

Haugen, 31 years old, beat up on a former world champion, Ray Mancini, before knocking him out at 2 minutes 27 seconds of the 7th round of a scheduled 12 round bout at the Reno,Sparks Convention Center tonight...It was clear from the opening bell that Mancini no longer had a snap to his punches or the timing to land them. By the end of the bout, his face was badly distorted from the swelling beneath his left eye. Haugen was never hurt by any of Mancini's punches.

The end came late in the 7th round when Mancini missed a right hand that left him exposed, Haugen jumped on him & threw a jab and then a sledgehammer right to Mancini's head, sending the 31-year-old Mancini sprawling into the ropes and onto the canvas. Mancini struggled to stand, his left arm entangled in the ropes. Although Mancini beat the count, Referee Mills Lane decided that Mancini was in no condition to continue.

Mancini said afterward: "I hope nobody is silly enough to ask if this is it. Yes it is. You can't do it off a three-year retirement, Mancini said. "Fighters got to fight." Greg Haugen said; Looking inn shape is one thing, but being in fighting shape is totally another world.

With his victory, Haugen is 30-4-1 with 15 knockouts. Mancini drops to 29-5 with 23 knockouts.
